Dress Code

preschool dance 2012All students must wear leotard and tights (any color or style) and have the assigned shoes for each class.

Jazz and Tap classes:
Students may wear bootie shorts over their tights. No t-shirts are allowed for any class! Leotard and tights can be any color or style.

Ballet/Tap classes Pre-school through Beginner 1
Any brand black Tap shoes that ties
Any brand pink ballet shoes

Ballet/Tap and Jazz classes 2nd grade and up
Any brand pink split sole ballet shoes
Any brand black split sole lace up Tap oxfords
Any brand black split sole slide on jazz shoes (no laces)

Pointe Shoes should be checked by your instructor before you sew anything on them. There is no specific brand. Pointe class is by instructor invitation only. A doctor’s approval and form is required.

Lyrical, Modern and Liturgical shoes – nude foot undies or bare feet

Boys may wear a t-shirt and black dance pants with the proper shoes for each class. All dance shoes should be black.

Please label all shoes with your child’s name. Hair should be pulled up and away from the face. No dangling jewelry should be worn! No gum!

HPIM0971Each student will be required to adhere to the Dress code for his or her class. Everyone will have until October 1st to get all his or her necessary Dance attire. After October 1st, anyone who is not dressed appropriately will be allowed to observe his or her class but not participate. Make-up classes will be allowed for classes that are observed or missed. If anyone has trouble complying with this Dress code, please see your Instructor for further guidance. This is to ensure your child’s safety.

A dance wear supplier will be at registration for all your dancewear needs. Please check with your instructor for your attire and shoe requirements.
